25' - MUN 0-0 BILGeorge SmithBilbao free-kick in a dangerous spotThe referee appears to point to the spot and award Bilbao a penalty, only to change his mind and award them a free-kick right on the very edge of the box. Video replays show it was the right call; contact was outside the box. 22' - MUN 0-0 BILGeorge SmithUnited penalty appeal turned downUnited are claiming a penalty.
16:00Samuel LuckhurstHeaton deserves the armbandTom Heaton is a worthy choice of captain. He was in the leadership group last season, he's been around the block and has a unique understanding of United's ethos from his time in the academy. Harry Maguire could start in an XI otherwise comprised of teenagers and he probably wouldn’t be the skipper. He's stood next to Heaton, though, so he's near the front of the queue. 15:58George SmithHere come the teamsThe teams emerge from the tunnel at the Aviva Stadium and kick-off is now moments away. Stay tuned for live updates. 15:50George SmithKick-off loomingThere are just ten minutes to go until kick-off in Dublin. United will be determined to cap off their pre-season campaign with a victory.
There are few green seats still vacant and they could still be occupied by late arrivals. 3' - MUN 0-0 BILGeorge SmithWasteful from SanchoWhat a chance that was. Sancho slipped through by Pellistri one-on-one and he fails to find a way past Simon. Good save from the Spaniard. 2' - MUN 0-0 BILSamuel LuckhurstPellistri an early bright sparkThat was a good chance. Pellistri's run opened up space but he played the wrong pass. Forson was a better option on the left but he went to Sancho on the right and the shot was never on. 1' - MUN 0-0 BILGeorge SmithKICK-OFF! We are off and under way at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.
15:46Richard FayTen Hag throws down the gauntletErik ten Hag has just told MUTV that there are still a few positions up for grabs in the starting XI to face Wolves. You'd sense they are at right-back and central attack. It means today is particularly important for Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Jadon Sancho.
6Van de BeekUnderwhelming. 5ForsonNot as threatening as against Dortmund. 5SanchoSome decent moments but missed a good chance. 6HT - MUN 0-1 BILGeorge SmithHALF-TIME! There goes the half-time whistle here at the Aviva Stadium. United trail 1-0 at the break following Williams' opener. 41' - MUN 0-1 BILRichard FayEriksen needs managing carefullyA year ago, Eriksen was the shining star on the weekend before the new season, now he is very much part of the furniture. He is still classy and creative with the ball at his feet, but it is obvious he can't be relied upon every week. A big challenge for Ten Hag this season will be how he handles playing time.
Ten Hag responded by wagging his finger. Questionable call. 13' - MUN 0-0 BILRichard FayForson impressingIt's been another bright start from Forson, who could be the standout player at U21 level for the coming season. United are really lively in the forward line but it's been the same old story of lacking a main attacking focal point to focus their attacks around. 10' - MUN 0-0 BILSamuel LuckhurstUnited have started livelyPellistri has been alert again so far. He's such a direct runner it can be a struggle for teammates to keep up with him but you can't underestimate that old-fashioned wing play and he’s got United moving higher up the pitch.

He is another of the Youth Cup-winning side who you always felt Erik ten Hag would take a shine to as the way he operates is similar to Kobbie Mainoo. Ten Hag has been signing autographs and posing for selfies by the tunnel. Given how forthright the Irish can be, there’s every chance some offered some choice words over the squad he has brought over. )15:40Samuel LuckhurstHerrera deserves a good receptionAnder Herrera will get a great ovation if/when he comes on.
He is one of the few successful signings of the Glazer era at United and they definitely missed him in the first half of the 2019-20 season. United lacked a human touch with Herrera, who discovered his contract had been extended by a letter in the post. PSG were more eager to sign him up than United were to re-sign him, so he accepted their offer. For one of football’s apparent purists, it was contradictory of Herrera to join a Qatari sportswashing commodity. He did have a point when he said United put business ahead of football, though.
